Bluegrass Lake flooding. Pressure was brought on the county by nearby neighbors and businesses. A community meeting was planned. A long hiatus in activity ensued as issues of responsibility for the lake and inflow/outflow were sorted and budget restraints, considered – then COVID struck. Recently, activity resumed. Knox County Engineer Jim Snowden sent an update letter. He has met with Harold Cannon, City of Knoxville engineer. Mr. Cannon has asked for additional data and has suggested considering an alternative to pumping – revision or replacement of the outflow culvert. We will post here when there is additional information.
